Terms of Use

Effective date: July 10, 2026
App: Launch (the “App”)
Provider: Jack Hall, doing business as “Launch” (“we,” “us,” “our”)
Contact: launchalarmclock@gmail.com

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms also serve as your End User License Agreement for the App (see Section 16).

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EEA) and able to form a binding contract to use the App.

2. The service

Launch is an alarm-clock app that requires you to complete a dismissal “mission” — such as solving math problems, scanning a barcode, taking a photo, walking, or shaking your device — to turn off an alarm. It can optionally block selected apps and discourage deletion of the App while an alarm is ringing. Use of the App requires an active paid subscription (Section 4); there is no free version.

IMPORTANT — ALARM RELIABILITY. The App depends on iOS system features and is subject to platform limitations. It may fail to ring if your device is powered off, out of battery, muted in certain configurations, in certain Low Power or Focus states, if you revoke required permissions, or for other reasons outside our control. Do not rely on the App as your sole means of waking for any situation where failing to wake could result in harm, injury, or loss. The App is a general-purpose consumer product and is not a medical, safety, or life-critical device.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Support and legal → Delete account, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Launch+ subscription

The App requires an active, auto-renewing “Launch+” subscription to use its features. There is no free version.

5. License and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (such as saved barcodes, reference photos, and alarm settings). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content solely to operate the App and provide the features you use (for example, syncing your data or verifying a photo mission). You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.

7. App blocking and Screen Time

Features that block apps or discourage deletion of the App use Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls / Managed Settings) frameworks and operate only with your permission. You are responsible for your own use of these features and for any apps you choose to block. You can disable them at any time in the App or iOS Settings.

8. Intellectual property

The App and its content, excluding your content and third-party components, are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or branding. Third-party open-source components are used under their respective licenses, listed on the App’s Open-source licenses screen.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services, including Apple, Google, and Supabase. Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

11. Limitation of liability

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or to protect the App or other users. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 10, 11, 12, and 15) will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, notifying you in the App. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois for any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

16. Apple App Store — additional terms

These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent these Terms serve as your EULA for an App obtained from the Apple App Store, the following also apply:
